Concetti Form, Fill & Seal (FFS) Bagging Systems

Concetti represents an international benchmark in the design, production, and installation of horizontal systems for forming, filling and sealing bags made from tubular polyethylene reels. Their Automatic Form, Fill and Seal (FFS) bagging machines feature long production cycles and sustained high speeds. The primary applications for  Form, Fill and Seal (FFS) bagging machines are in the petrochemical, fertiliser, and cement product fields.

Form-Fill-Seal system CONTINUA

These machines are designed for aerated, fluidized, powdery and/or aggressive products.

It has three operating stations: one to form the bottom of the bag and cut the film to the desired length, the second one for filling and the third station for sealing the upper bag edge.

The Concetti engineers have studied special technical solutions in terms of both mechanics and electronics, allowing the machine to achieve the high speeds that are required.

The operating phases and the changeover of the machine operating parameters are PLC-assisted and can be completed in a very short amount of time, without any operator intervention, thanks to the actuators mounted on the machine. The monobloc structure, equipped with inspection doors, makes the system perfectly safe for the operator.

Continua Six Linear Bagging Positions

Main technical features:

  • Parts in contact with the product in stainless steel.
  • Deaeration probes for reducing the product volume.
  • Special dust-tight filling spout and bag holder.
  • Devices for compacting the product in the bag thus reducing the bag size.
  • Top air removal station for a total evacuation of the air between the product and the upper edges of the filled bags.
  • Integrated air cleaning system ensuring the product does not adhere to the inner walls of the bag affecting seal quality.
  • Seal cooling clamps make the closure of the bag even more resistant and hermetic.
  • Machine changeover without any operator intervention, thanks to the actuators mounted on the machine.
  • Monobloc structure, equipped with inspection doors, makes the system perfectly safe for the operator.

Cutting edge technology advantages:

  • Hermetically sealed square, compact bags made from a standard PE, without micro-perforation venting system.
  • Dust free environment.
  • High accuracy product weighing with double screw product feeding.
  • Designed for perfect cleaning. The weigher is fitted with an automatic cleaning system utilising air nozzles and feature a pneumatically-driven door and the reversible screw movements for ejecting the residual product into a small hopper.

FFS-E

This machine is designed to reach very high capacity outputs, over 2000 bags/hour, according to the product characteristics.

It is equipped with three operating stations: one for the bag bottom formation and the film cut based on the desired length, the second for the filling and the third for the bag top sealing.

Specifically designed Concetti Group technical solutions, both on the mechanical and the electronic level, allow the machine to reach the requested very high capacities.

The operation phases and the change of the functional parameters are PLC-managed; the product or format change occurs in very short time and without any intervention by the operator thanks to the actuators installed.

Thanks to its limited size, FFS-E is fit to be installed in any production site; its monobloc structure is open on the bottom, making the cleaning and inspection operations extremely comfortable, and its inspection doors ensure a maximum safety for the operators.
